Deerfield Beach
Serving the Children of the World

Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:

Kiwanis’ current global campaign for children, The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus, aims to raise US$110 million and save the lives of 129 million mothers and their future babies. In partnership with UNICEF, Kiwanis is committing to eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus, a disease that kills one baby every eleven minutes. By targeting this disease, Kiwanis will not only save lives but also pave the way for other interventions that will boost maternal health and child survival among the poorest, most underserved women and children in the world.

KEY CLUBS– We mentor Key Club's at both Deerfield Beach High School and Somerset High School. Key Club is the largest student-led organization in the world teaching leadership through service.

READING ROOM- Kids love to be read to. Our club has built a special reading oasis at Deerfield Park Elementary. We also read to children at the NE Focal Point Pre-school.

ADOPT-A-STREET- We’re happy to call Ed Dietrich Sr. Avenue our adopted street! We host regularly scheduled street cleanups throughout the year.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY- A division wide service project to help homeless children get the school supplies they need to start the year off successfully.

GOLF TOURNAMENT- One of our biggest fundraisers, teams play golf to raise money for our scholarship programs, dictionaries for 3rd graders, and summer reading books for rising 1st graders to name a few.

RELAY FOR LIFE- We are big supporters of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, entering a team every year.

ARBORETUM CLEANUP- Located in the middle of Deerfield, a hidden gem. We gather once a month to give it a fresh new look. We most recently sponsored a new exhibit, "The Rainforest."
